Jackie Waddle

Jackie has been a player with Flute Cocktail since the beginning of the century. She also teaches recorder and runs a local recorder group called Razzmatazz Recorders.

Jackie’s other passion is writing. As well as writing articles for ‘Pan’, British Flute Society’s magazine she has recently completed her second novel. Jackie is closely involved with creative writing in the community and has instigated a local writing group in Tavistock, producing two anthologies of the group’s work. She believes that playing music and the art of writing are both cathartic and energizing, which are two good reasons for her aspiration to encourage children and adults to play and to write.

She published her first novel in 2008 - "Breaking New Ground"

"When Adele Parker wins a TV competition to have her garden revamped she can hardly believe her luck. The good luck grows. Her neighbours join her and they all cash in on an unexpected opportunity. It’s an offer that
promises pleasant changes for everyone, but will it unearth more than they bargain
ed for? And more
than anything can a garden nurture fulfilment for all the residents of Orchard Court?
"

In 2015 Jackie attained her well-deserved qualificaion - an MA in Creative Writing.  Well Done Jackie!!
